Char Dham Yatra 10-Day Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot (210 km / 7 hrs)
- Start your Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar with MK Travels.
- Drive to Barkot via Mussoorie, a famous hill station.
- En route, visit Kempty Falls (optional, time permitting).
- Check-in at the hotel in Barkot and rest.
Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri and back (Drive 36 km + Trek 6 km one way)
- Early morning drive to Janki Chatti.
- Trek or take a pony/palki/doli to reach Yamunotri Temple.
- Take a holy dip in the hot water spring – Surya Kund.
- Offer prayers at Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.
- Return to Barkot for overnight stay.
Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 km / 4 hrs)
- After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi.
- Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
- Check-in at the hotel and explore the holy town.
- Rest overnight at Uttarkashi.
Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back (100 km one way)
- Early morning drive to Gangotri, the birthplace of River Ganga.
- Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River.
- Visit Gangotri Temple and offer prayers.
- Enjoy the serene beauty of the Himalayas.
- Return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (220 km / 8 hrs)
- After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi, a spiritual town.
- Visit Ardh Narishwar Temple and explore the town.
- Check-in at the hotel and rest for the night.
Day 6: Guptkashi to Kedarnath (Drive 30 km + Trek 18 km)
- Early morning drive to Gaurikund, the base point for Kedarnath trek.

- Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Day 8: Guptkashi to Badrinath (200 km / 8 hrs)

- En route, visit Joshimath and Narsingh Temple.
- Upon arrival, take a dip in Tapt Kund (Hot Water Spring).
- Offer prayers at Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
- Overnight stay at Badrinath.
Day 9: Badrinath to Rudraprayag (160 km / 6 hrs)
- Visit Mana Village, the last village near the India-Tibet border.
- Drive back to Rudraprayag.
- En route, visit Karna Prayag and Nand Prayag.
- Check-in at the hotel and rest.
Day 10: Rudraprayag to Haridwar (160 km / 6 hrs)
- Drive back to Haridwar via Rishikesh.
- Visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula (optional).

Important Travel Rules & Guidelines
- Extra sightseeing will be chargeable.
- All Dham parking charges are included; however, roadside sightseeing parking is not included.
- If the trip extends due to natural causes, extra days will be chargeable.
- Driving hours are from 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM; do not force the driver for extra driving beyond this limit.
- Route changes are not allowed.
Yatra Registration Process
To ensure a smooth pilgrimage, the registration process for Kedarnath & Badrinath Do Dham Yatra is mandatory. Here’s how you can register:
- Online Registration: Visit the official Uttarakhand government tourism website (https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in) and complete the registration process.
- Required Documents: Provide a valid ID proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, or Voter ID) and passport-size photographs.
- Medical Certificate: If trekking to Kedarnath, a medical certificate from an authorized doctor is required.
- E-Pass Issuance: After successful registration, an e-pass is generated, which you must carry during the yatra.
- Offline Registration: Pilgrims can also register at registration counters located in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Sonprayag, and Joshimath.
